Getting Motivated - Study for exams

I'm a person with the tendency to put off anything about school work. Sounds pretty stupid as these exams are to prepare you for life and the way to the career you desire. So I'm going to try to do my best to put my tips into action and end mine and your procrastination problem.

1) Tell people that you don't want disrupting. Make a sign and stick it on your door. If that fails go to the library. Sit in your shed. Sit as far away from any distraction. Also, I would put my phone/electronics and put them on silent. 1 text message could set you back for hours. I personally put my phone and electronics under my bed to stop the temptation.

2) Don't sit in silence. Nothing puts me off than sitting in silence. Pull up your spotify and put some soft music on. I wouldn't put anything like 1D or PTV or you may just start a rave instead of some studying.

3) Schedule yourself, I've devised a timetable that puts you in the mindset to follow. I have given myself a guideline in when I revise/study. Remember to take breaks after 20 minutes or you may bore yourself.
4) Revision/studying isn't just reading. You don't remember what you read. Make posters, flash cards, spider diagrams, rewrite up messy work, write a song, internet games. Whatever works for you. Best find out about your learning style. Take a test here!

5) Buy new stationary. Buy coloured biros, ballpoint pens, highlighters, post-its, index cards, colouring pencils, notebooks, coloured paper. Use supplies that are pretty and visual to make it sink in.

6) Keep hydrated, stay healthy. Undraw the curtains, lift up the blinds. Let some UV get into the room. Drink water and eat a healthy snack like an apple. Gives you energy so therefore you won't get drained. Avoid food with high levels of fat like cake, chocolate and biscuits.
